Premium members can go on auto-vacation if one of their games get very low on time.

Also, I don't think the mobile app checks for that correctly so it may be possible to set vacation start that way, even if moves have to be made in games.

By the way, I just checked your opponent on vacation and it appears it was auto-vacation; there is one game in their list with only 52 minutes left.

And to risk over posting, did you just make a move in that game recently? It is also possible they were already on vacation status when you made your move.

no i made my move a while ago and I think he has 47 hours left on his clock for this move (3 day moves). I'm not that concerned about it, it's just that I'm a Premium member and I'm sure that I recall having to make all my moves before I could "go on vacation"

Yeah, for sure through the web interface that is the way it works. But it does look like auto-vacation for this particular case. Sorry I didn't look at the time control on that one game, just assumed it could have been a 48 hour game Embarassed

In my opinion (as well as probably a bunch of others,) the main reason why I like premium is due to vacation outside of the extra tournaments.

It helps a lot.
