I've noticed a lot of things lately our coming on the internet and starting to take over the way we do things.  From gorecy shoping to music buying our life will never be the same.  In fact I believe that we depend on the internet more as a forum for more than all others.  I also believe is youtbe hasn't already taken the place of TV it will pretty soon.  My question that i'm purposing is when chess will become primaraily over the internet?  A year?  Five years?  A decade?  Multiple decades?  There isn't a really true set date on it but what i want to know is what do you guys think chess will primarily on the internet?  How long to before playing "over the board" games become a rarity?  I think it'll take about 3-8 years before chess becomes primallily an internet thing?  That what i think.  So what do you guys think?  When will chess become primally a internet thing?

In my opinion, I think that's a little ridiculous. It may happen someday but it'll be a lot longer than that. Many decades I think. In chess, the OTB element prevents cheating. It is also huge for the culture of the game, the face to face OTB tournaments.
