We were told at work it was "a county wide problem". The liars!!!!!
I figured they flipped the IE fix for Live Chess and crashed the whole system.

Yes, I admit I was sitting at my computer through the night clicking refresh on chess.com and gmail.

yeah... it's soo convenient having a copy of The Internet in a set of 5'14 disks..., you know... in case the telephone lines get too noisy, or whatever...

5.25" disks? Man, those are too new for me. I back up my internet on the 8" floppies, and a few cassettes!
Hey don't scare me....I just finished writing a forum about this.
I presume upgrade is being attempted. A lot of times its those little things that trip us and a crash is just waiting to happen. Back up.. back up.. i say. lol

yesterday my daugter destroyed the mouse in the middle of the night in the rain i ride with bike to found mouse ... ps chess.com shoul supply keyboard support
and today i cant open chess.com i was afraid the big brother blocking me to play chess its like drug i start being nervous trying all the computers to find chess.com

I assume we all got eventually got the same error message when the system was down: "502 Bad Gateway", Just in case not thought I'd mention it.
I realise how much I like the site when it was down.
Chess.com was down today for a long time. We're sorry :( We will adjust it so that nobody's games timed out.
Why did this happen? We're not exactly sure - the main database box just stopped responding. We are investigating now.
Oddly, Google's gmail service was down for a long time today as well, as was World of Warcraft!
