Yeah was looking at Rg5 with probably Nf4 the reply but then couldn't see anything.
Nf7?
Why not Rh1...? Threatening Kg5#.
The Rook on g6 is protected by the knight, and if Qd8+, then Kg4+ and black is toast. Rh1 is obviously the solution.
My question is how did black get into such a spectacularly bad situation??? Haha.

It's not indeed. I spotted the possibility of the fork and haven't verified it. Rh1 looks promising.
