16 Ne5+ Kf6 then 17 Qf3 and his bishop is pinned. If his King go to the e column, Nc6+ and he loses his queen.So 17 Re8 and 18 g4 wins the bishop

heh quick in terms of what? I can win *fast* on the clock by brute force, making a 40 move game into a 70 move game but only burning say 5 min instead of 30. Or I can burn 30 min to find the mate in 2 combo that I overlooked. I am a slow thinker so times will vary for different players, but recently I had a game with a 2 piece advantage and a clear win, but his king was trapped in the middle. It took me close to an hour before I found the forced mate line (4 or 5 moves). It would have taken me 30 seconds to walk one of my 2 passed pawns, queen, and finish it off.

Yes, you found it. As I said, I am very slow to spot combos, I find the right moves and still lose points in the tactical puzzle each day :)
Messy game for sure. If I had been trying I doubt I could have made my pawns worse for myself. Greedy piece grab and found myself tangled up afterwards.
In this game I recently played, I launched an aggressive attack on the king early. Could you give some tips on how to land a crushing blow in games like this? I'm sure that there are faster wins. Some key positions are after 16...Kg6, 17...h6, 22...g6, and 23...Rxg6, where I am sure I missed more decisive moves.
