Wow! That's a great game.
Crushed by the Hillbilly Attack!
Why he captured the rook with king and not pawn?
just think about the point of Rxf6 and u will have your answer.
glad you liked it I felt great playing the final move
Interesting. It looks very much like the BlackmarDiemer Gambit with g6 but then from the Karo-can . I lookes like this verion is better for white becuase black plays Bf5 first and then Bg4 wich seems not good now.
While I dislike his position from move 4, I think black is virtually lost the moment he castled kingside. White has all his pieces bearing down on that side, and I don't know why he would do that. I also believe g6 to be a mistake, since black's point is to punish white's LSB for coming out to the wrong side of the board so early. I believe e6 to be a far more sound position instead of capturing on e4.

I think black is lost when he first plays Bf5 and later goes for Bg4?! The final mistake is of course take on d4.
But the normal BlackmarDiemer variation wit g6 goes like..
Can you share a link to GingerGM's video?
So difficult to search it on chess.com?

I know write,but it would be nice beating a master ON A BOARD.By the way,was that a master,the 2197 or the 2179?
Very good stuff. If you want to try out more Caro-Cann variations with strong attack lines, there is also the Apocalypse Variation, leading to surprisingly action-heavy games:
In my opinion, the Hillbilly attack primarily relies on black trying to hold on to the extra pawn for dear life. If black handles it correctly by focusing on development rather than material, then black gets at least equality. There are better ways to get a great attacking position against the Caro such as 1.e4 c6 2.d4 d5 3.Nc3 dxe4 4.Nxe4 Bf5 5.Ng3 Bg6 6.h4 h6 7.Nh3 with ideas of Nh3-f4 and Ng3-h5.
As CK_1186 mentions, black should be fine if he does not attempt to hang on to the extra material. Let it go and focus on development. Black's LSB is a boat anchor that must be jettisoned in almost all positions in the CK.
I'm not sold on it yet, but I've been exploring this variation. There are a number of YouTube videos on the Hillbilly attack. A nice 2-parter, about 35 min. in total, is here:

Ever since I watched GM Williams' video on the Hillbilly Attack, 2. Bc4 has been my go-to move against the Caro-Kann. I don't win every game, but my wins can truly be spectacular and against great players.
Here is my most recent beauty.
Enjoy :)
