Hey should create a thread with this subject. Now either it will be the shortest thread or one of the longest threads on chess.com.

there would'nt be a use of engine, why? Because it's chess 960.

It is great you bring energy to this subject. This is not against you here. See you are like 2-3 years behind what is going on here. Everything you said and might say has already been discussed several times at multiple levels.

Yes Chess.com does give things away things free from time to time. But you have to be active head over heals over the average player to be considered for such things.

Hope this clears a path to your true goal which is tools you get from the membership to enhance your enjoyment of the game.

My suggestion if you really what a free members from chess.com. What do you plan to offer chess.com in exchange for it? It you might have to do it before they give it away as they do not want to give it away and you welsh (not say you) on the deal say 2-3 months from now. Make them say this guy real deserves this.

If you get gold membership 6 months is $30 and 1 year is $29. for the others month by month is better.

No, I'm not "missing it". Perhaps you are.

Just because one is active here by no means makes them suitable to be an admin. Some may wish to get their 15 minutes on this site.

Have to repeat that "top 10 most active members". That is the only way you can be really be seen when you make the list. You went from this to just being plain active. A big difference when picking an Admin. Somebody that just picks up say 15 points that day is not a candidate to be an Admin if they never did it before here. Now if they pick up 200 points that is more like it.

Well, sounds to me like you're liking quantity way better than quality. The moment someone is fighting for a place in that list, he's already disqualified as a chatterbox as far as I'm concerned. And you actually think they are best suited to be Admins? Maybe that's because you see yourself in them.

What? You must be new.

Do you have any idea how to earn pts? No

Do you know all the ways to earn pts? No

Have you tried over 10 activites here? No

If you said Yes to even one of those i could take your response serious. Most of the poeple that make the top 10 most active are Admins or SA. As an Admin your doing several things running a team/group that gets you those points. I say 40%+ of points are from league activites here and not chatting. Another 30%+ from events in groups. 5%+ from communicating with Admins, SA and Associates on various important topics.

Are you serious? And if by chance the person does make it to top 10 list of active members by chatting i still would want them. As Admins to various events in a group. That person would be great for running forums, contact for league events, Communicating with othe Admin when to start a Team Match and Inviting members. Very big on inviting members as they chat as you say they can chat to other player about joining the group.

The best way i say would be to join a group as they have various activities that get you points.

Here is a list where you will find the top active groups with out too much searching.

Wow, this must be rocket science. And here I was and thought you're getting points for posting any darn stuff. But I guess I must be here years to find out how it really is.

When i first started i was going for the prize then when i say i broke about 30,000 i started thinking. All this time i spent getting these points to get a prize i could buy it 10 times over with the time i put in.

Or even longer, because some people just start thinking after they have 30,000 points.

Look, my point (and AlCzervik's I think), that you just don't want to acknowledge, is:

  • if you do your rocket science in order to get on this list, or get many points, you really lost focus of what is important, which is WHAT you contribute, not HOW MUCH you contribute. Any numbnut can write a lot, but a numbnut can not write a single intelligent article.

I really hope not all people on this list aim for it (like the OP). But you are defending and encouraging just that, which is plain wrong.
