Aronian claims that chess is a bloody war, rough and a "man's" game, but he himself is barely a man. GM Gormally punched him and he did nothing after sprawling on the floor. What a chicken.
This is why I need #yesallwomen. Aronian is an uneducated idiot who has no idea of what he's saying. 

Unfortunately he's rich... and women still want money (Ariane caolli) is a bonified gold digger. But he plays poorly now, he will stop winning tournaments and lose money along with his girlfriend.

People are way too sensative.  I've never bashed women chess players but reality shows that at the top levels women like Judit Polgar are extremely rare and to say that men and women don't think differently when it comes to chess is nothing more than being politically correct.  There are exceptions when it comes to strong women chess players but the exception proves the rule. 

If a woman never becomes World Champion it has nothing to do with men being superior to women any more than women are superior to men in certain other areas of life. 

I'm pretty sure that Judit Polgar might disagree with Aronian. She has beaten pretty much every gm out there, including Kasparov, Alexi Shirov, Spassky, Karpov, Anand, Ivanchuck,Topalov...

...and she beat Bobby Fischer's record by becoming the youngest person ever to become a grand master.

And just look around this site, there are plenty of highly rated females. 

It just goes to show that, as in the case of Aronian, you can be a top player and still be pretty ignorant.

Judit never beat Kasparov in a classical game.  She beat him once in a rapid game though.

He's a bit contradictory.  He says in the beginning you have to control your emotions, then says he himself is very emotional.

And notice he doesn't say women can't play, he says it doesn't come as naturally... not that I agree or disagree.

What is yesallwomen again? I thought it was that all women have to fear rape or something (even if not all women get raped or if not all men are rapists). Then again though, if we're just going by probabilities, everyone has to fear an airplane crashing on them too, since there is a nonzero chance for it to happen to anybody. (and yes it has happened before )

Anyway regarding the actual interview, yeah I'm not happy with Lev's comments. However, given that it was a while ago, his English is not perfect, and that Levon seems so nice in general (to men and women), I'm willing to keep open the possibility that there was a certain context to be understood here -- we don't know if he was serious, what he was going through, etc. If Lev made these nasty comments all the time, there would be no question, but honestly, this is the only bad thing I have ever seen him say.

Ok I guess yesallwomen is more about sexism in general. But I don't know, this is kind of like saying every single human has breathed before. I mean, we're all going to be made fun of for something -- for some it's gender, others voice, hair, intelligence, etc. Men and women are probably both insulted equally, just with different insults. But sure reducing sexism is a perfectly valid cause -- it would be nice to have less of it, as it would be nice to have less of a lot of things.

this is not sexism.   You people are crazy if you think so .   Women are different , only that .  You should be more concerned about speciesism ( by example when you say " pig " discriminating pigs  ),  sexism is an excuse for everything.   Women are different from men.  Chess is a War , and War is not natural way to live for women. 

Because of that our society is sick , because we live in a patriarchal society , all day thinkin in war , competition,etc ( the conspiracy of social darwinism)  .     War is not a natural state for women ,   of course there are many exceptions , biologic  or the enviroment,  but there is a fact,  i can´t see any women with 2700-2800 rating,  ¿ why ?  (Judith got it , it´s a maverlous exception )  I think Aronian answer this question very well.

The fact he's one of the greatest chess players in history should tell you he's not an idiot.  Remember, Newton believed in Alchemy. 

I don't agree with his stance on women since obviously WFM's and above in addition to Judit Polger and other strong female players refutes the claim that women can't play chess.

Since Smyslov well past his prime was able to defeat and draw Polgar (though she has an overall plus score on him) maybe she wouldn't be able to beat Botvinnik if she went back in time after all (I've counted two wins, one loss, and five draws in Judit's favor)

I'd say the latest champion she'd beat in a set match is Euwe at their prime.  Since Alekhine won their return match he might count too. 

One really only has to look on this site to see that women CAN play chess.

There are female players here of all standards, just as there are with male players, and I've seen plenty of women on here with ratings of 2000+

Not that your rating has to be anywhere near that high in order to claim that you can play chess.

The fact is that PEOPLE can play chess.

Yeah, obviously he is a small minded pig. However, I did agree with this statement (Unrealated to women playing chess):

"I know there is a myth that chess is a very logical game. But chess is full of spontaneous decisions and determination. With chess you cannot even practice logical thinking."

That article is 6 years old. I wonder if he still feels the same way now.
