Did you read the message that was sent to everyone regarding that? If your opponent has said anything then the chat window will be on top. Otherwise, it's now the move list.
Guess no one is talking then!
so I can still call my opponents names and they will get it???
and also that means if someone wants to chat they have the extra hassle of switching chat on, no wonder no one is talking!
mine were! and they are also confused about the new change
at least I know what is going on now, I thought all my friends switched me off, looks like I missed the chess message and the forewarning, thanks Monica for asking what I have been wanting to ask

Somehow I'm having a hard time relating to what the major malfunction is with turning chat on...but then again as Einstein pointed out, everything is relative...

, most online games have chat enabled, if you don't wish to talk then the non-talker may disable, and MOST people being communicative creatures as they are would prefer chat left ALONE, the non-talkers can simply click "disable chat" in their preferences, why should the friendly people be penalized and have to click on what was there to start with, as a paying member I think members should have some say before changes are made

Ah! I did think something was odd with the chat thing and this convo answers my question!! Why did they do that??? I rarely look at the moves and always chatting, how rubbish is this new feature lol

2. This is not true as I speak with most of my opponents and the chat window is not on top.

The chat window will be selected if your opponent has written a new chat message since you last viewed the game, not just if there has been previous chat.

Seems not to work with me as Ive to select the chat window every time to check if something new is said. And sometimes there is..
Anyone else have this problem? All of my games the chat is turned off and I have to click on the chat link to enable it. It really sucks and takes the fun out of my games as a lot of people I play are my friends, seems a hassle to have to switch it on each and every time. If this is a new system then I DON'T LIKE IT,
