Dont you just love playing a good correspondence game against someone, and having your board at home set up with the position? I love sitting there and checking out the board throughout the day, before making my move.

In addition I write all the variations down in decision trees. Sadly I spend hours on a correspondence game.

My wife and I play a correspondence of sorts. Our board sits in the living room and one of us makes a move. Then the other takes as much time as he wants before making his move. And so on, and so on. A game in the house can take several days.

I have a whole directory full of xmind trees for my correspondence games.  I use a board on my kitchen table and my laptop to make these really pretty trees in xmind for most every game I play.

Wish it did more good.

What do you do when you get the urge to check out a position through an engine?

lol. Tiger, we don't have engines because we're just casual players. Actually, she and I play shatranj. (I don't think there're engines for that.)
