I think chess players are prone to being driven insane.
Chess injuries

In middle ages pieces were usually made of lead and boards of marble. It was not uncommon for looser to throw in rage the pieces at the winner. The winner would then retaliate wiyh the board. You could judge the outcome of the game by the type of injuries the players got afterwards.

I punched a wall after a loss once; once. I did break a bishop over another player's hand in a chess club, though--does that qualify for "prone to particular injuries"?
I am inordinately proud of an inch-long scar on my left knee which I acquired about 35 years ago while racing down concrete steps at school, carrying my chess board and pieces. I was running because I was in danger of forfeiting a match against a rival school for arriving late, and I collided with a third-former coming up the other way which sent me, the board and pieces, and the third former, tumbling down the stairs, resulting in a gash which bled for the next hour. I actually managed to start the game with seconds to spare, but I can't remember if I won.
The momentary pain was worth it, though, as I now have a splendid battle-wound which I can show off when manly talk turns to sports injuries (which it doesn't do often enough for my liking!). But I was wondering: have other Chess.com members experienced chess-induced damage? And are chess players particularly prone to any particular injuries?
