Chess Olympiad idea

24hrs of chess.

Two teams with 12 hours on the match clock, playing 15/15 games until the match clock runs out for their team. 5 players per team with switches permitted every 4 hours, with two boards playing. You'd get a 24 hour chess rollercoaster of games.

i hope this catches on, get some young up-and-comers to put on the all-nighter.  

That sucks. Keep the Olympiad as is, except change the scoring. Give four points for a win on board one, three points for board two , two points for a win on board three and one point for a win on board four. For a tie, split the points that were up for grabs on the particular board. No marathon all nighters. No!
