i may have dropped a piece or two along the way, but i have picked up a few too. i am not ready to resign yet.
Chess=Life
I think there is, because when you have nothing that makes you happy, then what's it worth anyways? I'm close to handing out my resignation and i dont mean suicidal crap, that's just lame.
In life, as in chess, if the game you're playing starts to suck, clear the table and play a new one that promises to be more fun.
But what if the game is perfect and then you blunder and lose? and you don't have the material to start all over because you lost it in the past too many times? metaphors rock!
Checkmate.
Sounds more like you've castled and are trying to advance pawns. Wait until they promote and start going all over the place...
jazo - just fight for a draw and then wait for the next game to come. they usually do. maybe you should play some lower rated players to get your confidence back :).
I dont know about you guys, but in my game I'm in a good postion, after playing the Queens Indian as White, I'm up a pawn. LOL
Do you know that feeling, when you make the wrong move and you lose the game because of that move? Life is the same. I made a wrong move, couldn't make myself see the right move, and lost. Big time. You guys?
