When playing in chess tournaments, it's possible to get the same color THREE times in a row.
At the Continental Chess website, this is one of the 35 "myths."

MYTH 29: You can't get black twice in a row.
ACTUAL: This is common, and you can even sometimes get the same color three times in a row! Score has priority over color, so colors will alternate perfectly for everyone only if white and black win the same number of games each round.
It all averages out in the long run. Next tournament, it's possible you might get White three times in a row. But the same color just twice in a row? That's nothing to complain about. MANY times I get have Black twice in a row. Score has priority over color.
Yesterday i gave up when i was allotted black pieces conecutivively and to day again the i have to do same. Is it immpossible to ensure that no one is allotted black pieces consecutively? Is it not against the rules of cess?
