This seems a really labour intensive way of handling this problem. If the root cause is so hard to pin down, can't a resynch just be built into the script that runs each night to refresh each player's rank?
dunno why people all got their knickers in a twist, Grobe, mine bin wrong for ages 
- so what ? - I learnt to count when I was two - really don't need small number to tell me how many games I has current

Yeah, I don't really care either, but it seems that many do. I was just thinking that this probably isn't the best spend of Kohai's time and that there's got to be a better way.

its actually not as time consuming for me as it appears :) Once the stats have been sync'd, they are now staying sync'd whereas before they weren't.
