**Must buy Dad a present on Mother's Day**
International Women's Day, congratulations!!!
The intent of your original post was clear. I don't believe for a second that you're actually campaigning for an International Men's Day, that's part of the thin viel I mentioned. No, your post was an attack on the idea of an International Women's Day.
Plus, if you'd taken two seconds to actually Google it, as I just did, you'd have saved yourself looking awfully foolish right now:

And while we're at it, we need to hijack a thread about International Women's day to make that point.
Congratulations, you've crapped all over something that should have been a nice sentiment.
These are the same men that have fought for your freedom during various wars.
There's that patronizing chauvinism again. Are you even remotely aware of the contributions of women to various war efforts?
**Must buy Dad a present on Mother's Day**
Since a properly publicised and well known Father's day exists, this comment is both pointless and silly. All these sarcastic comments only illustrate the contempt you have for men's rights. These are the same men that have fought for your freedom during various wars.
The thing that bothers me most about mysogynists, is their taste in shoes...
Do you also spend the month of February bemoaning the plight of Caucasians?
I don't think trysts has a dislike for men, probably just for you. You seem pretty intent on taking offense on behalf of an entire gender when the statements are clearly directed at you as an individual. To be clear: you don't speak for me, and I don't need you taking offense for me.
I am not a misogynist. In fact I have never hated anyone and I am married to a fantastic stay-at-home mum. I am beginning to think, however, that you yourself harbour a rather strong dislike for men.
Poor girl. It must be worrisome for her that all your friends have been "falsely" accused of rape.
And while we're at it, we need to hijack a thread about International Women's day to make that point.
Congratulations, you've crapped all over something that should have been a nice sentiment.
As I already said, it is very useful to highlight the difference in publicity between the two days, as it shows how far yet men have to go. So discussing this issue during the widely known Women's day is very important.
I never heard of either International Women's Day or International Men's Day before this thread. So apparently both are lacking in publicity.
trysts comment about Mothers vs Fathers Day was right on the nose since there is, in fact, a Women's Day and a Men's Day.
You are failing to address major points against your argument. You seem to have a complete disregard for the scale of problems, failing to distinguish between rare cases of injustice and systematic failures of justice.
More to the point, using rare instances of one kind of injustice to diminish the systemic problems by contrast. I don't for a second believe it's a failure to distinguish, it's an intentionally disingenuous argument.
Many of the "problems" that affect Caucasians also affect men. Money, power, influence and most disturbingly, a long history of oppression....
I agree, it's not only about numbers, it's also about root causes. While both are individual victimization one is also a systemic societal failure, especially as you look beyond Western cultures.
I can't wait for International Men's Day, then we can all work together on stopping men from falsely accusing women of rape.
When are you going to present cogent, logical arguments? That would do a lot more to convince us than repeating poorly reasoned statements.

Try reading this from a mainstream tabloid paper for starters.
Whoa, you're right -- it is a systemic problem.
Ciljettu's chauvinism is very thinly veiled by his sanctimoniousness.
You may be speaking about legitimate injustices, but the venue you chose to raise them in, and the refusal to acknowledge any sense of proportion, says far more about your message than the message itself.
