Okay, I have seen good players. But I have never seen anyone like JohnnyKGB . The man is clearly a chess genius.

We were playing an unrated game where I had 1 hours versus his 1 minute, while he played blindfolded and listened to Barry Manilow songs just to make it fair. Unbeknownst to him I was using a cupercomputer with 50 CPUs and 24 Terrabytes of RAM running Stockfish. I was calculating 40 plies deep in seconds. "This time", I thought, "I will beat this man."

On move 6 he sacrifices his Queen for one of my flank pawns. If it were any other man, I would think he were an idiot. But not JohnnyKGB. Instead, my jaw dropped to the floor and I am embarrassed to say that I soiled myself (just a little). Sure enough, Stockfish realized its evaluation was completely wrong. Mate in 10 it said.

While I am completely disheartened by how badly I pale in comparisson to this great man, I am honored to have played him. He was kind enough to autograph my chess board which I have framed in my living room.

I have burned my Carlsen and Fischer memoribilia to make room for the books that I shall buy from him. And my next son? He will be named "Johnny KGB Fleet".

One warning: If you have the honor of playing this man, do not be disrepectful when you lose. Don't bother asking for tips... he is far too good for you to even understand... your head would just explode on your keyboard.

So wait. You used a chess engine against him and you still lost??????????

Maybe sometime I will tell you how JohnnyKGB beat Carlsen in a blindfold simul (Johnny was the one blindfolded of course while playing 99 other top GMs).
