To paraphrase a psychiatrist I once met:  Being normal means that you have the same abnormalities as the majority of the population.

This sounds about right.  The "majority" of avid chess players share the same "abnormalities."  Check out any large tournament for verification.

Whether GMs have more of less of these traits seems largely beside the point.  Smile
