    Hi I just made a really annoying quiz question. It's not wrong, but it's not the freeby you think it is.

    • How many squares ARE OUTLINED on a chessboard?

    • I'm sorry if this was a math problem. There are 64 1x1 squares, 49 2x2 squares and so on… You might be saying: WAIT can't diagonals form squares too? Thats why the question asks for the outlined squares. There are also 36 sqrt2 squares. There are also 25*2 sqrt5 squares for the two rotations. There are 16 2sqrt2 squares. And so on. As you can see, there are a lot more squares than you think.
