Chess is not that popular here.Not as popular as basketball or boxing.Alot of people play but only as a past time.Most people would not know who the World Champion is.
Well my theory as to why there are so many Filipinos and Indians here is because
1.We have a large population
2.We are a third world country.Most can afford a slow internet connection though but not more than that.So we resort to free sites like this. Rich countries wont bother playing here as they can afford exclusive payed sites
3.Chess.com is the easiest chess site to search on google
I just find funny how about 60% of my games are against Filipinos, 30% against Indians, and 10% against the rest of the world.
Just out of curiosity, why there are so many people from the Philippines here? I have absolutely nothing against that and I am not complaining at all. I just find it curious because I did not know that chess is such a popular game there.
