The best way to improve your game?

hi everyone, ive started to get back into playing again after years and want to know the best and most efficient way of how i can improve my game to the next level, id say im a pretty average player at the moment but would love to reach a higher level

Look at your games. Sadly, you probably learn most from your loses. Where did you make mistakes? How did you lose the game? I will give an example:

I won that game, but I was also in doubt in a game just before that, where I didn't play h6, but went into a positional worse endgame. I drew that one. I remember reading that an IM, who said that his only training last 10 years was looking at his own games.
