I noticed that when players think they are winning in 3 day chess they want to speed up the game but when their position is in difficulty they take much longer than it would seem to take to figure out the moves. Would this seem to add overall to more games being won than lost in the whole program? (LOL)

More games are won by stallers as their opponents abandon the site and so lose by timeout.

It's harder to find an acceptable move when you are losing.

Yes, I like to look at the game a few times when I am losing.

It takes more mental energy to move in a bad position, so I'm likely to wait until I'm at my peak to move in games with bad positions.  As long as it is not yet resignable, there's nothing wrong with using my alloted time, no?

I think it will depend on how they are starting new games.  For instance, if you only start a new game when a game finishes, at best you will get a temporary edge as you finish winning games.  However, you will eventually be filled with games you are about to lose.

If you are constantly starting new games, this may be a way to inflate your rating.
