Dear Chess Friends,

Hanging pawns are often seen as a weakness—but in the right hands, they can become a powerful asset. In this video, we’ll focus on the strengths of hanging pawns and how to use them actively. Through two instructive games, you’ll see how this structure can lead to central control, dynamic play, and even direct attacks. Let’s unlock their true potential.

You can watch the video here: https://www.patreon.com/posts/strategies-with-133959930?utm_medium=clipboard_copy&utm_source=copyLink&utm_campaign=postshare_creator&utm_content=join_link

I hope you'll find it useful. If you like it and you want to see my private educational videos, you can subscribe to my Patreon channel. I upload 4-6 hours of videos / month (I've already uploaded 161 educational videos, totaling around 43 hours of content) and you can learn about openings, strategies, tactics and endgames, too. I also upload daily puzzles in 4 levels every day.

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to write to me.

No, hanging pawns are not poisoned pawns. Watch the video and you'll understand.

Yes, they could definitely be an advantage. You're welcome.

No, "hanging pawns" is a very serious middlegame topic.

That's why this topic is not for beginners. I don't think that you should use the "For beginners" section for these advanced ideas, Gábor.

Dear Magipi,

Since there is not a category named "For Advanced Players", I posted it in this forum. Moreover, I think it's useful to know about this topic even for a beginner, it improves his/her chess culture. On the other hand, I talk about famous games from World Champions in the video which can also be interesting for a beginner.

I think putting it in “general chess discussion” is better because that is where many of the 1200+ players are and this part of forums are not visited much.
