I would just say 'put it on a diagonal attatched to the corner of the board', so a1/b2/c3/d4/e5/f6/g7/h8 or a8/b7/c6/d5/e4/f3/g2/h1. In vannila, orthodox Chess it applies exclusively to Bishops.
