Modest, realistic guy:
"I think I will be overjoyed if I ever get to 1800 fide, and my current target I guess is 1600-1650 fide, because a year or so ago 1600s seemed like a more within reach group of almost unbeatable players. I just made it to the dizzy heights of the 1500s, and I think the next year will be spent trying to stay there."

I used to have the modest goal of holding a 2000 rapid rating on here. That was before I realized how many grandmasters there are here rated in the 1800-1999 range ( cough cough) now I'm just a speed chess wood pusher. Probably won't even mess with rapid this time around, waste of my damn time lol.

Are we still putting our goals down? I want to get to 2200 in blitz and 2500 in tactics trainer at the end of the year. Also, I would like to achieve both in some way which doesn't involve me bombing my exams.
