Where to get 50 USCF "Rated" Games?

Sort:

Hey all,

I'm interested in competing in this tournament next year for fun: https://millionairechess.com/rating-rules and it says I need 50 rated USCF games before being able to play.

Where can I play 50 rated USCF games, and is it realistic to try to accomplish this in a year?

Thanks in advance!

You need to join the United States Chess Federation (uschess.org), then play in rated tournaments. If you have a local Chess club nearby you may be able to play in small Swiss tournaments there. You can also look at upcoming tournaments at uschess.org.

50 USCF rated games in one year should not be difficult at all. Plenty of clubs host rated games on a pretty much weekly basis.

Of course, there is a chance the event won't be held next year and it if it is they will likely be holding it in a new location.
