I know what you're all going to say -- it depends on the position.  But based on your general impression of their various strengths and weaknesses which do you think gives the greater overall advantage?

Ummm... is the shotgun loaded?

You gonna take a chance if its pointed your way?

Is the shotgun purple?

I would never take a chance with a purple shotgun.

But the rook and Queen can often neutralize the shotgun's control of the dark squares.
