BUMP!

adamplenty

You bumped a thread after only 4 minutes?!

Wilbert_78

No, probably not. Maybe as a gimmick, not for play.

Mario is the king.

I actually DO have that set but I don't play with it. It is more of a novelty and collectable than a serious board for playing for me.

Luigi is the king in the chess photo. I guess you can arrange them however you like.

NomadicKnight

You're looking at the board backwards. Luigi and Mario are the Black pieces in the photo. Mario is the king.

Good point, for some reason I assumed the white pieces would be Mario's side.

What are you guys talking about princess is the queen luigi is the king and mario is the rook. Obviously thats why does mario need protection he obviously gets alot action going on in the games

iMacChess

I wouldn't want it even if it was free...

There's a couple of different Mario sets with pictures in this months Chess Life Magazine.

TheGrobe

Wouldn't you have to modify the rules so that Mario's side starts with a princess already captured?

Rookq

I got it as a gift I have it hahahah

Ubik42

They need a chess set based on the Incredibles. Syndrome and Mirage as King and queen (with long flowing capes), and Omnidroid rooks.

And, of course, for the other side, whatever the pieces are there is one rule which must be observed - no capes!

And maybe an alternate set with hobo suits.

Rookq

It does mess people up in chess I tested it out they got all confused what piece does what it wa funny

RonaldJosephCote

I saw a jazz set that did the same thing,-confused; beautiful set, but confusing.

Rookq

Ok
