Why no chessbase for Mac?

Why don't they make chessbase for Mac? Mac's are really growing in popularity and a ton of people use them now. I know that some people use scid but chessbase or even fritz is the real thing. I know they tried it in 2009 or 2010 or something but they should really make one for macs.

I agree 100% with you! It's a ridiculous mistake by a business to ignore such a great computer...

I don't see Macs as growing in popularity.. They are very expensive computers and remains out-of-reach of most people in the working and middle classes.

Why paying more than a thousand dollar for a small macbook air when you can have a decent PC laptop for about 500$ ?

That said, the best alternative for Chessbase on OSX (as well as Linux) is Scid or Stockfish.
