Would you rather be black or white?

I've always liked being black. Don't know why, just always wanted to play as black as a child and I still do now.
I always prefer playing white. I know the opening that i generally use as white and i'm not as confident with black. My statics bare this out as i win 10% more when i am playing with white. I think some strong players prefer playing black against weaker opponents as a type of handicap which might make the game more interesting.

This was next to the thread about magnus carlsen's girlfriend so I mixed the two in my head at first glance and my immediate thought was that I liked both.

I prefer to play black, I like responding aggressively with moves that complicate games like d5 c5 and sometimes b5
I also enjoy playing black but it's just a psychological quirk. It gives you a false impression that you're stronger player because you don't move first. Also if you lose you can just pretend it's because you played black.

I Would prefer White as per my stats. Be it Blitz or Bullet or rapid I have a better winning percentage in white as compared to black.
In our racist free world I prefer white!

White has an extra tempo but black can sometimes have more control on how the opening will go, as he can roll out his favourite defence to most of white's opening moves.
One way to counter that as white is to start with a "passive" looking move like 1. a3 which is usually "harmless". I once went through a phase of opening 1. c3 hoping to play caro-kann reversed with a tempo.
White. White supremacy needs to be recognized. They always are first. White power!
