Not a big deal but wonder why this happens: After clicking on some alerts, others disappear, e.g., today I had
1 New Message1 New Tracked Activity3 Group Activities1 Chess Game
After clicking on 1 New Message and reading it, I went back to my home page and the 1 New Tracked Activity had disappeared.
Strange.......
let me know if it happens again!
it has happened to me also a few times in the past weeks...i was just too lazy to report it :)
Perhaps, in the time it took for you to read the news item, the tracked activity was withdrawn by the author. I've had second thoughts in the past, and taken stuff down shortly after posting.
No, it's not that, because it also happened with pending games, for example...like it's my move in 3 games, I load the first, make my move and then when I go back to the home page the other 2 alerts are gone.
Sometimes when I click one of them it wont show me what the "NEW" message is. It makes me hunt for it. Don't know if it's related.
Happening for me as well. I had about 4 alerts, one for a post and 3 games - clicked on one game, then when I came back after looking at the game, all the other alerts had gone...
yeah i have this issue also. if my alerts have more than one message/email/note i always open them in another browser window in order to not "lose" the alerts and have to go searching for them somewhere.
Erik:
Happened again just now. Went to my open game and when I came back several alerts were missing.
The only time I notice this is with my 'New Comments' alert. If I click to read a message (e.g. from chess.com) when I return this alert has disappeared.
ok. thank you! i will investigate.
I did not notice anything.
This is a drag; open in new tab ameliorates the effect somewhat.
I wonder how practical it would be if the alerts for multiple items could be split into two (alerts) for each set; a destructive read alert and a non-destructive one?
thank you , i will find a solve

Any progress on this bug yet?
The new New Comments pane on the home page sorts this problem out! How long has that been there?
