Can't See Pieces - But Differently from Other Users

All,

I noticed a disturbing problem in my chess.com live window today. For the first time, I was unable to see the pieces, instead seeing a white box with a red 'x' in the top-left corner. In other areas, such as Online Chess or game archives, pieces showed up normally; this phenomenon only occured in Live.

I am using the latest version of Internet Explorer with recently updated Java and Javascript; this problem has never happened to me before today.

clear the cache? never hurts to try..

@shsdshsd, what browser are you using? ie? firefox? chrome?

i fixed it i was using internet explorer then i used chrome and it is working fine

Yes ilikecapablanca, it is only affecting a few people. Just got a message saying that a bug was just fixed, I'll check and see if that was it.

The problem has worsened for me now. I can not see any movable pieces, just the "board preview" windows in the online chess window.

Ouch... I'm sorry that that's happening. Are you a regular LC player?

Problem solved - it seems that my internet security program was intercepting the icons for the pieces as they came in from an "unknown" website. I'm guessing the problem was worsening as image hosting was gradually exported.
