    Hi there

When I try to access my chess.com email account (which I have set up to my knowledge [I have chosen an email address in the account settings are, {example@chess.com}]) a blank page pops up and the file "Parse.php" downloads to my computer. I have NO idea how to access the email account and I have no clue what this Parse.php file is, why it downloaded to my PC or what the heck I'm supposed to do with it.

Any help would be much appreciated :)

    Thanks in advance.

Try using either Firefox or internet explorer to open your  @chess.com emails.

The parse.php appears with chrome and safari as it can't open the mail format.

Thank's Kohai, that solved it. I'm a chrome user and it pains me to go back to slower explorer's like IE, but I guess I'll just have to tough it out for the E-Mail's. ;)

If you use an email client like Outlook or Outlook Express, Thunderbird, Gmail or Blackberry for example, you can have all your @chess.com emails go to there and can keep using the Chrome browser.

Brilliant idea Kohai, I'm setting up Outlook Express right now. Thanks again, you've been a huge help :)

     Hi kohai,

    Great solution.

However, do you mean use Outlook Express as in forward emails to the email client or does chess.com have a pop3 server which I can use Outlook Express to collect chess.com emails from directly?  If the former, I've already setup forwarding to forward chess.com inbound emails to OE on my computer, however if the latter is possible, could you point me to where I can find details of how to access and connect to the chess.com pop3 server directly?

    Many thanks...

I can read my chess.com emails and send @chess.com emails by using my Outlook Express. I can choose whether i want to download them all to OE or leave a copy on the site to read on here aswell.

    Its pop3

To setup your program to work with your @chess.com email address use the settings below.

Your POP username is your Chess.com email address (example: MYNAME@chess.com).

Your password is your Chess.com password.

The POP3 server setting is: mail.chess.com

The SMTP server setting is: mail.chess.com.

Outbound SMTP authentication is required, and uses the same settings as your incoming mail settings.
