Actually I would say it was more like +22 hrs.
Got 24hrs added to my time?
This has been noted by several people over the past few weeks. What seems to be happening is that it adds how ever many hours are necessary to bring the clock back up to the previous full day. It can be frustrating from the other end (I watched an opponent add a total more than 3 additional days to his original 3-day turn by invoking this stunt multiple times during a single turn).
Unfortunately, the presence of this loophole, or whatever it is, seems either to be intentional or of no concern to chess.com.
It's not a bug, it's a feature
I thought it was mentioned in the topic about the new vacation rules but couldn't seem to find it. My guess it was designed that way to placate people that were having the minimum 24 hours deducted from their vacation banks. Now it just gets added to your time in your games so you don't just lose the accrued time.
Seems like it can get out of hand though.
Hi team,
I just came off vacation (I was only on for about 2 hrs, it was automatic), but something happened and now I have an extra 24 hours added to my time in all my games.
Not a big deal as I am about to make my moves so it won't affect my opponents, but I thought I might let you know so that the glitch can be fixed.
