Question about Alternate Accounts

Clubs are definitely exempt. In General public forums, my understanding is that its not allowed no matter what.

If you're using your alt to add comments to comments of your other account, to make it look like there's more support for a discussion, that could be something actionable if reported. It's probably better not to mix account comments on the same topics, even in clubs.

Oh okay, thanks for saving me from a bunch of slip ups lol

I think if you use both accounts on forums, you should warn about the duality and do it when discussing only serious and urgent bugs.

I thought clubs are exempt? Cuz even cursing, religious topics and politics, among other things that are not allowed in general forums, are not regulated in private clubs. Do chess.com have authority to regulate private clubs?
Hi Chess.com Support,
I wanted to ask for some clarification regarding the rules about using an alternate account to comment on forums. I understand that having multiple accounts is allowed under certain conditions and I have gotten this account verified by support, but I read that using them in the same forum thread might not be okay.
Does this rule apply even in casual or social forum posts where there’s no competitive discussion involved? Just want to make sure I stay within the rules.
Thanks in advance for your help!
