Just a few days ago, I was able to insert chess games by pasting code from the analysis board editor (by clicking "Post on Chess.com") into my posts. Now I have to paste a placeholder image, but I can't. Could you guys please help?

I can't even insert an image on my computer! I never noticed until I checked. Interesting...

Does not work on ipad.

I know, but it used to work. That's what's frustrating...

No, never.

Confused. Where are you trying to post this from?

On an ipad you do not have the insert functions that appear on the screen when using a pc.

Here's how to post chess games from an iPad:

1. Go to chess.com's game editor.

2. Input your game by pasting a PGN or by manually moving the pieces.

3. Click on the "Game Editor" tab.

4. Click on "Post on Chess.com." A window containing a text box of HTML code should show up.

5. Copy the HTML code.

6. Paste it in your post.

Wait, that was 6 months ago. Now the HTML code is replaced by a stupid placeholder image I can't copy or paste.

What was the HTML code?

The TinyMCE controls were suppressed on iOS for a long time, but were briefly available after the site redesign a couple of years ago.

They worked well while they were available with one fatal flaw: they crashed Safari periodically. I suspect this is why they suppressed them again.

I can't help but wonder if recent iOS updates might not have resolved this problem. It would be great of the controls could be re-enabled.
