My pieces dont move. When I try to move, eg, when moving a pawn, it stays behind the mouse pointer and goes back to its original spot. What could be the problem?

I had the same problem intill  I started going to live chess first and letting it set up then going back to online chess .I think it is a programing glitch or a problem with the site connection.

I have the same problem. I have a very hard time moving the pieces, so it's impossible for me to play blitz or bullet. I use Firefox Mozzila. An example of a recent game is http://www.chess.com/livechess/game?id=913590471, although if you look at the game there's nothing suspicious about it. In reality, it was impossible for me to play. The 'lag' bar was full Green for the duration of the game.

Clear your browser cache, this should clear all of that up :)

Let me know if you need detailed instructions on that, I'll be happy to post it.

Bycus, can you try Google Chrome and see if they will move for you in that browser?

I use Google Chrome and have the same problem with my online long games. Live chess is fine.

chesspunk04, clear your browser cache.

In the browser bar, enter: chrome://settings/clearBrowserData
