V3 question

In v3 how do you access your recent activity and your content?

tyler

You're recent activity (if it's recent) is listed under your feed on the home page. Also, I don't believe there is a manage content page yet, and am not sure whether v3 will have one or not. :) Every day, the developers are building more awesome things (and I am then testing them ;).) I will find out for you about the manage content section. :)

Thanks.

Under "Feed" on my home page I only see two instances of blogs I am following... nothing else.

Can you post a screenshot? I can see what may be wrong or can send it to the devs. Also, when is the last time you have posted?

You can access your Blogs under the Blogs menu item, then chose My Blogs in the right column links.

I think she means the recent activity list, similar to this:

I assumed so too but I don't have recent content to see if any of my stuff shows up. Surprised the Feed section isn't linkable to go to a larger list of content.

OK, I can access both my blogs and my articles in that manner (part of my conternation), but still recent activity, other than those two things, are nowhere to be found.

I believe that the plan is to do that or to do a "more >" button. :) Not sure though. I know that somethings are coming still or have been built but are waiting be tested/added on here :)

Or customizable.

Martin_Stahl

Another option that might work, is to click on your name at the top toolbar area and go directly to your profile.

Shows the activity there but also doesn't have a more link yet.

THe one draw back I see is not being able to access drafted content... I do see that, but I do think that feed can serve the recent activity spot's purpose once it is modified a bit to show all. I will suggest some of these things.

batgirl

That works too (for recent articles, but not forum threads).

V3 seems to be bulkier and less user-friendly than the current version.

I can access my Articles in draft form. I don't know about blogs or forum comments.

Yeah, I'm not really fond of the new design myself. Doesn't work well with my normal site usage patterns. I usually only jump in when I might be able to help answer a question. Though, it looks more ready now than the last time I got in so I may need to test-drive it more laughing

I have some of my forum threads in my activity feed on the profile but I noticed that this topic doesn't show on yours.

Please then use the report link at the top and tell us how we can improve it :)

batgirl

Neither this thread, nor any threads I created appears under the activity feed.

It's nothing drastic that prevents me from using the site and it is much better on a full client than the tablet version (or at least the version currently on my tablet).

what kind of tablet do you have? Have you tried the chess.com apps?

I use the Chess.com app on an Android tablet. I'm pretty sure the application is up to date and for playing moves in daily chess and doing some tactics, it's mostly fine (though my theme preferences to keep on tactics). It's just little things there that I don't like.

But probably shouldn't bring my issues into batgirl's thread Smile
