Why did a moderator remove 1000 reply thread???

IMO it did well to last to 1000. I often logged on and wondered why it was still in general discussion.

#3 and #4, plus :
Bad news. Posting in forums is not considered as work. And posts are not untouchable objects of veneration.
EDIT : oh and no, the number of posts is not an indication of the quality of the thread. On the opposite, I would add...

It is fascinating watching the standards for "cogent" replies drop so low. And no one "stole" the thread, it was just was just time for chess.com to take out the trash.
I don't think it is deleted? What is this then: http://www.chess.com/forum/view/general/is-it-possible-that-there-are-psychic-chess-masters

They got a lot of your money, huh?
The thread is alive and thriving in the bargain basement . . . .
take the freight elevator ----> Going Down
I posted a thread about psychic chess masters in the General Chess Discussion forum, and it was quite active. A lot of people put a lot of energy and discussion into that thread. I in fact worked very hard at some cogent replies.
Then today someone for apparently arbitrary and capricious reasons yanked it from the forum, which is totally unfair and uncool. When are the moderators moderated? That is really an insult and a ripoff to let one person steal all those people's investment of time and work away so arbitrarily.
Who did it and why? Shouldn't I at the very least get an explanation, and if it fell by some standard, see that the same moderator is fairly applying that standard to everyone else and not just picking on me?
