What the f... is going on with the pre-setttings in Live Chess. They seem to have gone into thin air. Is it happening to you too?

    Which settings are you after?

Settings link (top right of the page in live premium, and under the chat area in live basic)

Premoves is on the Play tab if thats what you meant.

All of the live chess settings are inside live chess itself and opens in a little box of its own once you click on the Settings link in there.

I had set it up to 5 mins games and 1300 to 1550 score but it's now on 10 mins and any player.

Thats possibly because your last two games were 10|0

My settings are 5 minutes and opponent between 1200 and 1450.

Yet I get opponents from 1500 and more. What do I do wrong

    Which settings are you using?

    There are two:

Game Type Settings -  These are the ones that select the ratings of those who accept your game. You can choose these from New Game tab, look under the orange start button, click on the Game Type Settings and change from there.

Filter - The filter in your 'Settings' box are there so you can choose which games you want to see in your graph. It has nothing to do with the challenges you yourself create or who can accept them. The filter only changes what you see on the graph.

Pretty new here. Could you tell me the meaning of 15/10 time setting for blitz games?

Conventionally, there are two numbers required to describe the time control:

    • the first move is how many minutes you have to make all of your moves.
    • the second is how many bonus seconds you get for every move you make.

So a time of 5 | 10 means five minutes for the game + 10 seconds of time added to your clock after each move you make, then 10 seconds added to your opponents time after they move during that game.
