Is this why Fischer quit chess competition (as opposed to his exhibition in 1992) in 1972? This castling method was not legal in 1972 anymore than this is a FIDE executive meeting. Why not promote and castle in one move? Will someone here claim that is or was legal or unclear in the rules? Why not claim that the spaces between the new rook and the king do not have to be empty? Next someone will say the king and rook do not have to be the same color. I am sorry to join this thread without a prescription.
