White must mate in 2 in this position. Black will soon promote. Any ideas?
1. Qb2 f1=Q
2. Ng3#
1... Kh2 is met with 2. Qh8#.
Also, 1...Bh2 allows 2.Nxf2#.
You're correct AGA, I soon figured that out as well.
The issue is, black is not FORCED to promote. Instead, black can move their king to g2.1. Ra8+ Bh2
2. Qxh2#
OR, if 1...K-g2
2. Q-g63#
1. Qb2? is wrong after 1...f1=N! and 1. Rh8+? Kg2 2. Qg3 Kf1.
1. Qb7 is correct.
Ah right. My bad.
1. Qb2 f1=N 2. Qg2#
