If you could live forever... but with one catch

First of all, I'm talking about living forever on this earth, the earth that we're living on right now, as we know it. Not any sort of afterlife. So basically if you could live to an infinite age, but with one catch, which is...

You cannot die. Ever. Not even if you wanted to. For as long as the earth continues to exist you will keep on living, whether you like it or not.

So... if, hypothetically, you were presented with the option to live forever in such a manner, would you accept it?

Would we have the ability to age? Or could we be 21 infinitely?

Well... let's say that you will not be affected by any sort of illness or disability. Your body will always be in its prime in terms of how it functions.

So how would I look after 100 years? Old or what?

Hmm, your idea has some issues. Because when you always stay young you will never be able to have a relationship and so on. Seems like there is no perfect solution although an infinite life sounds very nice.

Well I guess that's what I'm really trying to ask. Is an infinite life really as nice as it sounds, if it means that you cannot ever die even if you wanted to?

Also, how does staying young interfere with having relationships?

So we would stay the age we are physically?

Hmm... how about if we were to sweeten the pot and say that physically, you can be any age you want?

And staying young does not allow relationships, or at least no long term ones. Because how isz it to see your partner getting older and older and changing his look while you always look the same and never get older and never have any sort of health issues? Not mentioning the fact that your partner will die one day.

Oh, I see what you mean. In that case, yes, it would certainly affect relationships, and that probably would be something you would consider in making your hypothetical decision. Although - what if you could freely change your physical appearance so that it would appear that you are aging. Yes, eventually your partner will still have to die (which, again, is a factor to take into consideration), but the relationship would last as long as a normal relationship between two mortal people.

I'd say no. I can barely assume my wife and children will disappear some day, let alone it happening before I myself leave. But the body in its prime, that has captivated me. Say, a normal life for her and me being always in our 20's, and it's a deal (WOW!).

In a perfect world why not, but since we live in a world that is not perfect, sin, diseases, wickedness, i would not want to live forever. As stated by one of the poster the thought of seeing your children dye before you is just though to handle.
