Reassess Your Chess Study Group:  Here's the 4th test from page 32 of our text.  See if you can find the key moves, and then follow IM Silman's description of the position and solution by consulting pg 436 of the text.

After solving (or trying to solve) this puzzle, be sure to read IM Silman's description of this position and his explanation for the moves each side made on page 436 of our text.

Man...these are tough!  I didn't get this one, either Frown.  So, I'm 1 for 4 on these tests so far.  I saw the holes on d4 (for black) and d5 (for white), but I also saw the weak pawn at e5 and that became my target.  To go after the pawn, I thought I'd move Bh3 to attack its defender and pin it in front of the rook at c8.

I tried Nb1 first, but this hangs the e pawn Frown

I did not get this one either.  These are tough.  I also saw the hole for white but neglegted black's d4 hole.  I figured it out after a couple trys.
