Any chance of adding an engine to the Analysis board?

Hello,

Just thought I'd ask: is there any chance of adding Stockfish or another engine as an option to the Analysis board? Sometimes I'd like the computer to look at a line that I played after a blitz/bullet game. I can always download the PGN and run it from my computer, but it would be more convenient if it were built-in.

Thanks,

B.

Hi, there is already an engine attached to the games if you look at them through the app on your phone or tablet.

Maybe the OP means using an engine on the analysis board during a game in progress?  If so, that would be cheating.

Yea...and watch cheating go up a billion percent.

Thanks for your replies!

Newonda, thanks! I usually don't play blitz on my phone (too hard to move fast without a mouse), but that's definitely good to know. Chess.com, if the engine is on the phone app, is it possible to add it to the regular site as well?

Turbo and Diakonia,

So on another major chess site (of which I'm not a member), if you click "Analyze" after the game and you click through the moves, Stockfish is running in the background and recommending moves. This was what I meant.

I don't think this either helps or hurts one's cheating abilities since it only works after the game is already done.

It sounds like they are adding it in v3 but a very poor implementation.  It's best just to download your PGN and look at it with Stockfish on your own machine and software.

Okay, I'm glad that you meant using the engine after the game.  In that case, I agree that your suggestion is a good one.
