Yes I find it annoying and yes I agree something should be done
Max. cap on Quote.

Most of the time the final quote, or occasionally 2 (so people don't have to go back to see what it's about), is sufficient. I think the bigger problem is that people don't trim their quotes to just the pertinent portion. There are a few who say they think it's improper to trim even long quotes (I disagree), but most people don't trim simply because of laziness. To me, paring out unneeded quotes and trimming those I use are a matter of consideration for the potential reader, and I do the same with email. If I expect someone to spend a little time reading something I wrote, I don't want to include a jumbled quoted mess that increases inconvenience without contributing to the post.
However, I still don't think a programmed maximum is necessary. While an obnoxiously long series of quotations in a forum makes that particular post more cumbersome to read, it's an easy matter to just scroll right past without reading them.

Don't you find this annoying when people quote other people's quote, eventually is just become too long just to get to the bottom of the last quote. So would it be possible for the progamer to put a max limited on these quotes, say to 5 ?
What would be the fun in that?

got two words for it-it patheic and boring, I know I don't have to read it.

yes themouse that one is just a stupid game which belong in the off topic and no real converstation in there but maybe fun for the others.

Very interesting discussion in here made by Batgirl Quote-unquote but no feedback from the staff, disappointing.

Exactly!

I have to agree with you on this. Sometimes I just clip out large portions of the stuff that requoted in the thread. But with the lunkhead I'm arguing with in the thread you're talking about I just couldn't deal with rereading his nonsense to edit it out. Sorry :)

I know, that is why I am asking the programmer if it possible to max the nos. of quotes.

caseyFgriffin- "Excatly" so you are saying is fun to be stupid and trolling, that ok as long is in the off topic but in the real discussion though I don't think so.

Proposed rules and modifications have come up with respect to other similar forum issues quite a few times. My favored approach is always to just skip what I don't like rather than to call for a rule (or change) forcing everyone else to abide by my preference, regardless of whether a large percentage might agree with what I found irritating.

+1
This idea sounds like "I'm too lazy to hold down the scroll bar so let some programmer bust his ass to figure out how to save me the trouble." I mean can't you complain about lag or something?
