Reminder about Ads

Chess.com puts some ads in their server. While the majority of these ads are harmless, some of these ads contain PUPs. Install Adblock Plus to block these ads.

I was reading a thread titled "Another hosted virus on chess.com" when I realized the virus came from ads, and that must mean people are not using Adblock Plus.

Once again, I have to stress the importance of Adblock Plus. Go to Tools > Addons and search for it. Install it immediately; all ads will be blocked.

If, for some reason, you still see ads, you can block them manually. The ad on the live chess server has to be blocked manually.

I remember my last computer was destroyed by a Trojan Horse that came from an ad. Moral of the story: don't click on ANY ads.
