EL2013: Allow multi-team players or not? Please vote!

Preparations are ongoing for starting EL2013 by the 7th of January.

In the current proposal of tournement rules for EL2013 have all rules against multi-team-players been removed, which means that it would be allow playing for several teams in the tourney.

In the Asian League have they run like this for season without any problems, while in World League they have a rule that says "One Player-One Season-One Team".

In the original proposal for EL2013 were a rule proposed that would give a penalty of -1 points for every player that not have applied the same flag as the team, independently of wheter the player were a multi-team-player or not. The idea behind were to reduce the total number of points the multi-team-players potentially can contribute to for his teams.

There're different opinions about wheter to allow multi-team-players or not.

I would therefor appreciate if you could get express your opinions by voting on any of these options:

ALT 1
Less limitations: players are allowed to play for any team at any time, but get penalties in matches where they not wearing the same flag as the team they playing for. (This rule were originally proposed for EL2013, and partly similar to the EL2012 rules.)

ALT 2
Less limitation: players are allowed to play only for a single team during the season. The flags doesn't matter. Penalties will be given to players that playing for several teams. (This rule is currently applied in World League, and partly similar to the EL2012 rules)

ALT 3
No limitations: players are allowed to play for any team at any time. (This rule is applied in Asian League and is currently proposed for EL2013.)

Voting options

You can either vote on a single alternative, or multiple alternatives. Every vote is worth 10 points, so you can also distribute these points to the different alternatives. If you only choose a single alternative will all points go to this. If you choose multiple alternatives without express any points distribution, will the points be shared by your choosed alternatives.

Who are allowed to vote?

Only admins of any of the participating European country teams. Your country team must be clarly expressed if you don't wear the same flag as the country team you're representing.

Votes will first be summarized per country team. All country teams have the same power, which means that it doesn't matter wheter if just a single team admin from a country submit a vote or if more team admins do it.

Voting deadline

Sunday 6th of January 13:00CET

Vote outcome

The outcome from this votation is to be considered when applying a rule for EL2013. We need votes from at least 20 country teams. If a single alternative get a simple majority (50%) will that be applied.

Good idea Johan, but I miss another option:

ALT 2.5

Less limitation: players are allowed to play only for a single team in each division during the season. The flags doesn't matter. Penalties will be given to players that playing for several teams in the same division. Rule: "One Player-One Season-One Division-One Team".
adriano81

Johan, by the way last year 2012 we did like ALT 2 not ALT 1... there was no rule giving penalty for players who wearing not their Team flag but penalties for those who played for several teams

It will be not FAIR... you propose the rule when Teams like yours would take help from big brother Spain, do you? Galicia is a separate team so it should have only their own players

pam234

Team England votes for ALT 2.

Thanks Johan

Johan I think Team Francel will change it for ALT 2 as well as they voted when there was 4 alternatives

P.S.

Well...for EL2012 have these been the rules:
- "Penalties: -1 point, to teams ....who have 5 or more players in their troups that have applied other flags and also are playing for other countries. Match results are adjusted due to cheating or players playing for several countries when finished or at cutoff."
- "
Team members are allowed to join different groups and teams but they may represent and play with only one country team in the European League during a season. It is recommended to do it for the Country corresponding to the member profile flag."
- "
If any player(s) were found participating repeatedly in more than one European League matches with different country teams or obviously is cheating, the teams the player(s) represent will lose the individual games the player(s) have played or playing, and the player(s) may even get banned from the European League competitions

·           If there are more than five (5) players in a team within a team match that have applied another flag onto their profiles than the team have also are playing for other country teams in the European League competitions will that team be warned and get a penalty. When a team have received three warnings will the team be disqualified from this season and moved down to Division 4 for next season. No games against this team will be counted into the results for this season.

I'm very tired of your obsession with Team Galicia adriano... Votes are free, right? So, let me vote whatever i want and you focus on your team.

OK, but it has no relation to single cases right? So in this light it seems that keeping ALT 2 we continue to spread good spiit in Euro League tourney during the games

Javier, sorry for this... I really need to ask you to excuse me, now I understand that Team Galicia has it's own history which could be a reason for a separate participation in tourney like Euro League

...but proposed ALT 2.5 seems would not be equally FAIR for all Teams, don't you think so? Wink

jaedrez

Adriano, I think ALT 2.5 is fair, at least more than ALT 3. But that's only my point of view, I don't try to convince anyone.

SlieveDonard

Northern Ireland votes for ALT2

I also think that alt 2.5 is not fair because teams in a division could get important help from superior or inferior divisions. What competition will be that?

jaedrez

Team Galicia votes for ALT 2.
