I don't think there is an easiness-property that you can label a language with. And even if there was, I don't think that the complexity of the language is an issue here. The issue here is how to apply a strict set of rules and guidelines (and taste, if you like) to a specific domain (from both the chess-vocabulary, and the online application-vocabulary) when it is crowd-sourced to a large group of volunteers that go one way this time and another way next time. i think you all do a very good job even i understand it isn't always easy to translate in dutch because dutch isn't a easy language :)

I think the translation is going slowly into the right direction, but as long as words and sentences are translated (and voted for) without a context, translation will never end. When only members of this group are allowed to make translations, then we can discuss standards in this forum and maybe even elect a final editor.

I agree with Edgar. This way of working will never lead to a good translation. There are too many people (most of them not translators) involved and good translations keep getting replaced by bad ones. I already told Erik that in order to get a good translation, you need to have a final editor. This way everybody keeps wasting time...

Even more frustrating then the bad translations is the process of the localization. Valid translations are too often overruled and all efforts to deliver solid, consistent terms, buttons, menu items for the interface are apparently a waste of time. Crowdsourcing localization proved itself to be a wrong idea. If you agree, please help correct it.
