Retired electrical engineer. BSEE & MSEE from the Univ. of Missouri. Originally from Kansas City, MO, worked 37 years in the petrochemical industry in the Houston, TX area. Vietnam veteran served with the U.S. Army in Pleiku, Nov 1969 to Jan 1971 with 43rd Signal Bn. Started playing chess about age 11, have played off and on most of my life. Most recently had my interest renewed on the death of Bobby Fischer. Married 38 years to my wife Blanca. No kids, just dogs, Westhighland White terriers, Mitch and Ginger. Live in Encinitas, CA on the coast just north of San Diego.
